1 Dies, 1 Hospitalized after Rainbow Car Accident near Old Highway 395 and Glen Road
Rainbow, California (July 23, 2019) – A person was killed and another was injured Tuesday afternoon in a fiery traffic accident in Rainbow, according to a local news source.
The deadly wreck occurred at about 4:48 p.m. near Old Highway 395 and Glen Road.
The California Highway Patrol said a big rig collided with a Jeep for an unknown reason near Old Highway 395 and Glen Road.
According to the CHP, the Jeep burst into flames after the impact, causing flames to spread onto a nearby hillside.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the blaze.

Two people were transported to a hospital, where one of the victims later succumbed to their injuries. Their names have not yet been disclosed.
