1 Killed and 1 Injured in Rollover Collision on I-10 Freeway in Coachella
Coachella, California (March 31, 2021) – One person was killed in a rollover collision that occurred in Coachella, Riverside County, early Wednesday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened at about 4:15 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 Freeway near the Cactus City rest area.
A vehicle was traveling on the roadway when it overturned in unclear circumstances.

One person was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
A second person was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
The collision caused “major guardrail damage” along the right lane resulting in a temporary closure of the freeway.
