Santa Ana, California (June 2, 2021) – One person was injured when a police chase ended in a collision in Santa Ana on Tuesday evening, according to Santa Ana police.
At around 7:20 p.m. June 1, the officers tried to pull over a driver in the area of Fifth Avenue and Laurel Street for a traffic violation but the driver did not stop.
The officers started pursuing the suspect for nearly ten minutes, after which the suspect collided with another vehicle near Raitt Street and Segerstrom Avenue.

The suspect also slammed into a tree near the intersection.
The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries in the collision.
The suspect had a passenger in their vehicle and they were both detained at the scene.
