1 Injured in Car Accident on Highway 101 near Seventh Street in Boyle Heights
Boyle Heights, California (November 9, 2020) – One person was hospitalized after being injured in a car accident in Boyle Heights on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at about 5 a.m. on Highway 101 near the Seventh Street off-ramp.
A big rig and a vehicle reportedly collided on the highway in unclear circumstances.
One person suffered an apparent head injury and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The authorities temporarily closed two lanes of the highway as firefighters removed the vehicle from underneath the big rig.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
