San Francisco, California (November 22, 2020) – Two people were hospitalized Friday night after a police chase ended in a traffic collision in San Francisco, according to a local news source.

The accident happened in the 1800 block of Hillside Boulevard on Friday, November 20.

The incident began at around 9:00 p.m. when a 25-year-old man stole a vehicle from a parking lot in the 400 block of Collins Road in Colma. The owner of the vehicle saw the act and called the police.

The authorities later located the vehicle on El Camino Real and tried to stop the suspect. However, the suspect did not stop and continued driving. As a result, a pursuit ensued.

According to the police, the chase went through San Bruno and South Francisco. The suspect was approaching the 1800 block of Hillside Boulevard when he crashed a civilian vehicle and crashed through the fence of a cemetery.

Two people in the civilian vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Their names and condition were not immediately disclosed.

The suspect was not injured and was arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and felony evasion.

The accident remains under investigation.
