Four Hospitalized after Salinas Traffic Crash at Natividad Road and Los Coches Avenue
Salinas, California (June 18, 2019) – Four people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision at a Salinas intersection on Friday, according to the Salinas Police Department.
The wreck happened at about 6:15 p.m. June 14, at Natividad Road and Los Coches Avenue.
Police said a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling westbound on Los Coches Avenue and stopped for a red light at Natividad. The truck then entered the intersection to turn left onto southbound Natividad but was broadsided by a northbound 1994 Honda Accord that failed to stop for the red light.
The impact caused the Chevrolet to flip, ejecting one of its passengers.
4 Hurt in Salinas Car Collision
The ejected woman was taken to Natividad hospital with serious injuries. Three other parties involved in the crash were also taken to the hospital.
The driver who ran the red light was charged with reckless driving, police said.
The incident is under investigation.
