Palmdale Man Killed in Fiery Car Crash on State Route 138 in Littlerock

Littlerock, California (January 18, 2021) – A fiery single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a 24-year-old Palmdale man Monday afternoon in Littlerock, according to a local news source.

The traffic accident happened at around 2:25 p.m. on State Route 138, just west of 96th Street East. State Route 138 is also known as Pearblossom Highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a GMC Yukon eastbound on State Route 138 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle drifted to the right and struck a temporary concrete wall.

The GMC then careened into a concrete bridge barrier and caught fire.

Deadly Pearblossom Highway Car Crash

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of the family.

No one else was injured in the crash. It was not immediately clear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation.
