17-Year-Old Michael Pryor Seriously Hurt in Deadly Woodland Car Accident on Highway 98
Woodland, California (March 26, 2019) – A teenage driver sustained major injuries in a deadly crash that left the other driver dead on Saturday night in Woodland, according to the CHP.
The head-on collision occurred on Highway 98 near Highway 27 at about 8:20 p.m. March 23.
The CHP said Zachary Ortiz, 32, of Woodland, was driving a northbound Chevrolet when he veered into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Ford carrying five occupants.
Ortiz was killed in the collision.
Michael Pryor Injured in Fatal Yolo County Crash
The driver of the Ford, Michael Pryor, 17, of Esparto, was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Kaiser Vacaville for treatment. His four passengers, whose ages range between 16 and 18, were treated for minor injuries.
The CHP is investigating the deadly accident.
