Lancaster, California (January 17, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning in Lancaster, according to a local news source.

The California Highway Patrol said the deadly accident happened just before 2:00 a.m. on 110th Street West, just south of Avenue K.

According to the CHP, the pedestrian, a 51-year-old Newhall man, was hit by a 2006 Toyota while walking eastbound into the southbound lane of 110th Street West.

The CHP said there was no lighting in the area, and the driver did not see the pedestrian.

Deadly Pedestrian Crash in Lancaster Sunday

The pedestrian died in the accident. His name was withheld pending notification of the family.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
