Joseph Ambrose Hurt in Lake County Accident on Highway 20
Lake County, California (July 27, 2021) – A man was injured in a Lake County motorcycle collision on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at around 3:15 p.m. July 23, on Highway 20 at Crump Avenue in Nice.
Paul McGrorey, 60, of Lucerne was driving a silver 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup east on Highway 20 when he came to a stop in the double-left turn lane at the intersection.
Joseph Ambrose, 31, of Lucerne was riding a black and red 2004 Yamaha VXS1100 motorcycle west on the highway when he laid down his motorcycle, causing him to be ejected and he crashed into the Dodge.
Joseph Ambrose Seriously Injured in Lake County Crash
Ambrose was airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
