Minor Injuries Sustained in Goleta Accident on Highway 101 near El Capitan State Beach Road
Goleta, California (February 19, 2021) – Minor injuries were sustained in a traffic collision that took place early Friday morning in Goleta, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at around 3:38 a.m. on southbound Highway 101 near El Capitan State Beach Road.
As per the report, a silver Compact car crashed for unknown reasons, ending up facing the wrong way in the No. 1 lane.
A party got out of the car and was nearly hit by another vehicle.
Shortly after that, two other vehicles crashed into the silver Compact car.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene after receiving reports of the accident.
The report said the crash resulted in minor injuries but did not mention the number of victims. It was also not clear if there was anyone who was hospitalized.
Tow trucks were required to remove the vehicles from the scene.
CHP is investigating the collision.
