Father and Son Killed in Fresno Crash at Marks and North Avenues

Fresno, California (May 2, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday night traffic accident that killed a boy and his father in Fresno.
The deadly accident transpired just before 8:00 p.m., on May 1, at Marks and North avenues.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a suspected DUI driver in a Dodge pickup truck ran a stop sign and crashed into a Cadillac Escalade SUV with a family of six inside.
Following the collision, the pickup reportedly caught fire. Inside the pickup truck were a man in his 20s and his 10-month-old baby.
2 Killed in Crash at Marks and North Avenues
Sadly, the boy and his father, who were in the Cadillac, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Three other family members who were in the SUV were taken to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
The driver of the pickup was also injured in the accident and was hospitalized for treatment. He is being investigated for driving under the influence.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
