Frederico Porter Killed in Car Accident on Highway 1 near Stenner Creek Road in San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo, California (January 19, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol has disclosed the identity of a man who was killed in a car crash in San Luis Obispo last week Friday.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 6:39 p.m. January 15, on Highway 1 near Stenner Creek Road.
83-year-old Frederico R. Porter was driving his Toyota Tercel on the roadway when he lost control and slammed into a tree.
The impact of the collision sent the vehicle back onto the roadway where it was struck by a passing truck. The Toyota ended up in a ditch.
Porter was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The other driver was unhurt.
No additional information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
