Fontana, CA: Pedestrian Dies after Being Struck by Vehicle on Foothill Boulevard
Man Killed in Fontana Pedestrian Accident on Foothill Boulevard near Cherry Avenue
Fontana, California (July 19, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday night in Fontana, authorities said.
The pedestrian crash happened at around 11:51 p.m. Monday, July 13, in the eastbound lanes of Foothill Boulevard, just west of Cherry Avenue.
The pedestrian, a 39-year-old Fontana man, reportedly stepped into the traffic lanes and was hit by a 1998 Honda Accord that was heading eastbound on Foothill Boulevard.

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The driver of the Honda, a 37-year-old Fontana man, remained at the scene and help the injured pedestrian.
The accident remains under investigation by the Fontana Police Major Accident Investigation Team.
