Edward Casciegna ID’d as Man Killed in North Edwards Crash on Highway 58 near Claymine Road
North Edwards, California (January 18, 2021) – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died following a traffic accident late Friday night in North Edwards as Edward J. Casciegna, 50, of Bakersfield.
The deadly crash happened at around 11:10 p.m. Friday, January 15, on the eastbound side of Highway 58, just west of Claymine Road.
Authorities said Casciegna was driving on Highway 58 when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle collided with a semi-truck.
Casciegna’s vehicle overturned after the impact.

Casciegna was pronounced dead at the scene at around 11:44 p.m.
No further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
