Kern County, California (July 16, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday morning in a traffic crash near Derby Acres in Kern County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision happened shortly before 6:00 a.m. in front of Seneca Resources off Highway 33.

The CHP said the motorcyclist collided with a Chevy Silverado for unknown reasons on the highway.

Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in Kern County

The motorcycle rider sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Kern Medical Center. The name of the victim and their condition were not immediately disclosed.
