Crossing Guard Delia Huerta Killed in Valley Glen Pedestrian Crash on Vanowen Street
Valley Glen, California (September 17, 2019) – 57-year-old Delia Huerta has been identified as the crossing guard who was killed in a pedestrian accident that happened Monday morning in Valley Glen.
Police said the accident occurred just after 7:00 a.m. on 13400 block of Vanowen Street.
Huerta and a teenage girl were crossing the roadway when a sedan hit them.
Paramedics transported the victims to a trauma center where Huerta was pronounced dead. The girl sustained broken bones.
