Woman Killed, Man Injured in Atwater Pedestrian Crash on Santa Fe Drive
Atwater, California (December 17, 2019) – A woman was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on Monday in Atwater, according to California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision happened on Santa Fe Drive west of Wallace on Monday, December 16.
CHP said a woman was driving along Santa Fe Drive when she drifted to avoid striking two pedestrians walking on the side of the road. The driver ended up hitting a woman, and the impact sent the woman into a man she was walking with.
Woman Killed in Atwater Pedestrian Crash
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. There was no update on the man’s condition.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the incident.
