Elk Grove, California (February 24, 2021) – Amara Bush has been identified as one of the two people who were killed early Monday morning in a single-vehicle traffic accident in Elk Grove, according to the Sacramento County Coroner.

The deadly crash occurred at about 4:45 a.m. Monday, February 22, on Whitelock Parkway near Franklin High School, authorities reported.

According to the authorities, a 2004 Toyota Camry was traveling on Whitelock Parkway when it veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree.

The vehicle split into two after the impact. Two people were ejected from the vehicle.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated two other people from the wreckage.

Two of the victims, Naomi Brown, 18, and Bush, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other occupants were transported to a hospital, one with critical injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police closed Eastbound Whitelock Parkway between Franklin High Road and Bellaterra Drive while they conducted an investigation.

Motorists were being asked to seek an alternate route.
