Indio, California (July 18, 2019) – Two people, including a CHP officer, were injured in a collision which occurred on Thursday morning in Indio.
According to a local news source, the accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 10 Freeway near Monroe Street.
As per the report, a CHP cruiser occupied by two officers was stopped in the right shoulder when it was struck by a Pontiac G6 driven by a 39-year-old woman from Chandler, Arizona.

One officer was injured in the collision and was taken to Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage for treatment.
The driver of the Pontiac was transported to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio in unknown condition.
