Man Severely Hurt in Humboldt County Logging Accident on Redmond Road

Humboldt County, California (July 18, 2019) – A man was hospitalized with major injuries after being involved in a logging accident on Wednesday afternoon in Freshwater, according to the CHP.
The incident was reported just before 4 p.m. July 17, near Redmond Road.
CHP said an operator was ejected and rolled over by piece of logging equipment. The man got pinned under a tree and had to be extricated by emergency crews.
Man Injured in Humboldt County Logging Accident
The operator was then transported to St. Joseph Hospital with severe injuries to his lower extremities.
No other injuries were reported.
The incident is under investigation.
