Manteca, California (July 16, 2019) – The Modesto man who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon in Manteca has been identified as Joshua Timby, 28, according to a local news source.
According to the Manteca Police Department, the crash took place shortly after 3:30 p.m. July 12, in the area of Spreckels Avenue and Dupont Court.
Police said Timby was driving a 2012 Toyota Corolla that collided with a 1974 Chevy pickup at the intersection.

Timby was trapped in his vehicle and had to be extricated by the first responders.
Authorities said Timby was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver, identified as a Manteca male juvenile, was transported to a hospital as a precaution.
Police said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the incident.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
