1 Hurt in Scotia Car Crash on Highway 101 Near Ash Dump Road
Scotia, California (July 14, 2019) – At least one person was injured in a traffic collision in the area of Scotia early Saturday morning.
The collision, which happened shortly after 4:30 a.m. July 13, occurred on Highway 101 near Ash Dump Road.
California Highway Patrol dispatch indicated that the accident happened when a vehicle hit a deer on highway 101. However, the initial report showed that a red Ford Flex and a Dodge truck were involved in the collision.

At least one person suffered minor injury in the crash. The victim was attended to by paramedics who responded at the scene shortly after the collision.
It was not clear whether or not the wounded party was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
One of the vehicles involved sustained front-end damage following the wreck.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
