Aleksandr Moiseyev Arrested after Nipomo Car Accident on Pomeroy Road at Sandydale Drive
Nipomo, California (July 8, 2019) – A driver was arrested following a deadly crash that left a second driver dead on Monday evening near Nipomo, according to California Highway Patrol.
The tragic wreck took place just after 4:00 p.m. July 8, on Pomeroy Road at Sandydale Drive.
The CHP said Aleksandr Moiseyev, 28, of Aptos was driving a gray Honda HR-V crossover eastbound on Pomeroy Road when he crossed over the double yellow lines at a curve and collided with an oncoming silver Chevrolet S-10.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 57-year-old Nipomo man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moiseyev was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria with serious injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
Authorities are still investigating the collision.
