Plumas County, California (July 9, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a major injury accident involving a pedestrian and two cars that happened Monday evening in Chilcoot, an unincorporated community in Plumas County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 7:50 p.m. on Highway 70 just in front of Sierra Valley Fire Station.

As per the report, a Nissan Rogue and a white Toyota Tundra collided for unknown reasons. The Toyota rolled over in the crash. A pedestrian was also involved in the accident, but it was not clear how.

At least one person sustained head injuries in the crash. The injuries were termed as major. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The Nissan was towed away with rear-end damage and the Toyota with rollover damage.

CHP is investigating the incident.
