1 Killed in Stockton Car Accident on Locust Tree Road and Kettleman Lane
Stockton, California (July 7, 2019) – A person was killed Sunday night in a traffic accident in Stockton, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:20 p.m. on Locust Tree Road and Kettleman Lane.
Police said a Ford was heading eastbound on Kettleman Lane while a Kia was traveling northbound on Locust Tree Road towards Kettleman Lane.
As they entered the intersection, the Kia driver was not paying attention to the road and failed to stop at the stop sign. The Kia then struck the Ford on the side.
Fatal Car Accident in Stockton Sunday
The front seat passenger in the Ford sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. The victim was transported to a hospital and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
