San Jose, California (July 5, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a traffic crash Friday morning in the area of San Jose, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at around 7:37 a.m. Friday on northbound Highway 101, under 880 Freeway.

As per the CHP officials, two vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the crash victims. One party complained of pain as a result of the crash and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The name of the patient and their current condition was not immediately available.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

The vehicles were blocking the roadway following the crash. The roadway was cleared as of 8:43 a.m.

No additional information concerning this crash was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
