San Marino, California (July 5, 2019) – The man who was fatally hit alongside his dog in a suspected street racing crash on Thursday morning in San Marino has been identified as Gabriel Crispo, 49, of San Gabriel, according to a local news source.

The incident happened at about 11 a.m. July 4, on Huntington Drive and Kenilworth Avenue.

Police said a Mercedes-Benz and Honda were traveling westbound on Huntington Drive at a high rate of speed when they ended up crashing.

The impact pushed one of the vehicles into Crispo, who was walking his dog in the center median.

Both Crispo and the dog died at the scene of the crash.

Police arrested the two drivers, who were said to be 17-year-olds.

The crash remains under investigation.
