Porterville, California (July 1, 2019) – A family member has identified Michael LeBlanc, 52, of Springville, as one of the three people who were killed Saturday morning in a traffic accident in Porterville.

The tragic crash, which was reported at around 8:10 a.m. Saturday, June 29, happened on Highway 190, just west of Upper Globe Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, LeBlanc was riding a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on Highway 190 at an unspecified speed when for an unknown reason he allowed his bike to cross over the double yellow line directly into the path of a white Ford Ranger pickup that was being driven eastbound on Highway 190 by a 94-year-old Springville man.

LeBlanc and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle upon the impact.  LeBlanc, the unidentified passenger and the 94-year-old Springville man were all killed in the wreck.

The crash remains under investigation.
