1 Injured in Santa Fe Springs Pedestrian Accident at Imperial Highway and Shoemaker Avenue
Santa Fe Springs, California (June 27, 2019) – A female pedestrian is nursing injuries after she was struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Santa Fe Springs, according to authorities.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 12:07 p.m. at Imperial Highway and Shoemaker Avenue.
Authorities said the reasons behind the crash were not yet established.
The victim, whose age and name remains undisclosed, sustained major injuries and was bleeding from the head.
Firefighters, alongside paramedics, responded to the scene to transport the victim to the hospital.
There were no details provided about the car involved.
CHP is investigating the accident.
