Major Injuries Sustained in San Leandro Collision at Liberty Street and 152nd Avenue
San Leandro, California (June 22, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury collision that happened Friday night in San Leandro.
The accident occurred at about 8:03 p.m. at the intersection of Liberty Street and 162nd Avenue.
CHP said three vehicles including a green Honda and a gray Hyundai collided for unknown reasons.
Responding paramedics confirmed that major injuries were sustained in the crash. The number of the victims, however, was not mentioned.
Authorities said one of the drivers fled the scene after the crash but returned later and cooperated with the investigators.
The vehicles were towed away from the crash scene.
The cause of the crash is under an active investigation.
