Briana Schofield Among 4 Hurt in Monte Rio Crash on Highway 116
Monte Rio, California (June 18, 2019) – A woman and four children were hospitalized following a hit-and-run collision that occurred on Sunday evening near Monte Rio, according to the CHP.
The crash occurred just after 6:10 p.m. June 16, on Highway 116 near Monte Cristo Avenue.
CHP said a 1996 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Highway 116 when it drifted into the eastbound side to pass a stopped vehicle but collided with an oncoming Ford F-450.
The driver of the Ford reportedly abandoned his passengers at the scene and fled.

The passengers in the Ford, Briana Schofield, 30, of Cazadero, an 8-month-old girl and two 10-year-old boys, were all transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Ford was unhurt.
The investigation is ongoing.
