Buellton, California (June 16, 2019) – A San Francisco woman was injured in a fatal two-car crash early Saturday morning in Buellton, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 5:00 a.m. June 15, on southbound Highway 101 near the Avenue of Flags off-ramp.
According to the CHP, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a Kia Soul were both traveling side by side when they collided. The impact pushed both vehicles into the side of the roadway, where they overturned into a brush.
Wagui Jada Injured in Fatal Buellton Traffic Accident
The driver of the Silverado was killed in the crash.
A passenger in the Kia, identified as Wagui Jada, 24, of San Francisco, was taken to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The driver of the Kia was unhurt.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
