3 Injured in Upland Plane Crash on Benson Avenue

San Bernardino, California (June 15, 2019) – Three people were hospitalized after a single-engine plane crashed in Upland Saturday morning, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 9:45 a.m. in the 1300 block of Benson Avenue.
According to the authorities, three people were on board the Cessna 182 when it had engine trouble and then crash-landed in a parking lot 300 feet short of the runway at Cable Airport.
One person sustained life-threatening injuries and the other two had minor injuries. All the victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The crash caused minor damage to the building and the plane sustained substantial damage.
Authorities closed northbound lanes on Benson Avenue at 13th Street as they investigated the accident.
The crash remains under investigation by the FAA and National Transportation Safety Board.
