59-Year-Old Woman Killed in Plymouth Car Crash on Highway 49
Plymouth, California (June 13, 2019) –59-year-old Ione woman was killed in a traffic crash that involved two vehicles in Plymouth late Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision was reported in the afternoon hours June 12, on Highway 49, about a half-mile north of the Amador County line.
The accident happened when a Ford swerved to the left and into the opposite direction of Honda that was slowing down to make a left turn into a turn-out. The Ford then hit a Toyota being driven by a 59-year-old Ione woman.

The female driver was reported dead at the scene as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased remains unknown to this time.
The driver of the Ford identified as a 47-year-old Fiddletown resident Loren Fine sustained minor injuries I the accident.
Meanwhile, the cause of the accident remains under an active investigation.
