Woman Killed, Loren Fine Injured in Amador County Crash on Highway 49
Amador County, California (June 13, 2019) – A woman was killed and another injured when two vehicles collided on Tuesday afternoon in Amador County, according to the CHP.
The wreck took place on Highway 49, just north of the Amador County line just before 4 p.m. June 11.
CHP said a Ford traveling on the highway drifted into the path of oncoming traffic as a Honda in front of it slowed down to turn left into a turnout. The Ford ended up colliding with an oncoming Toyota.

The driver of the Toyota, a 59-year-old Ione woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.
The driver of the Ford, identified as Loren Fine, 47, of Fiddletown, was treated for minor injuries due to the collision.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
