Motorcyclist Severely Hurt in Rancho Cordova Traffic Accident at Sunrise Boulevard and Highway 50

Rancho Cordova, California (June 8, 2019) – A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a traffic accident that involved a car in Rancho Cordova Friday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The motorcycle crash was reported at around 5:16 p.m. June 7, at the Sunrise Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound Highway 50.
The accident happened when a black colored Toyota sedan and motorcycle collided at the intersection for reasons still under an active investigation. Due to the collision, the car ended up on the right-hand shoulder in the roadway.
The motorcycle rider sustained significant spinal cord injuries following the wreck. The victim was attended to by the paramedics along with the Fire department officials and then taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The identity and current condition of the injured party have not yet been released to this time.
The highway was closed down while the authorities conducted the investigation.
