1 Killed, 2 Injured in Folsom Car Accident at Folsom-Auburn and Hillswood Drive
Folsom, California (June 8, 2019) – One person was killed and 2 others injured in a traffic collision that involved two vehicles in Folsom Friday morning.
The crash was reported just before 10:45 a.m. June 7, in the area of Folsom-Auburn Road and Hillswood Drive.
The accident happened when a BMW was struck by a Ford that was headed north on Folsom-Auburn Road for unknown reasons. The initial report showed that the BMW was making a left turn onto Hillswood Drive at the time of the accident.
A passenger in the BMW was reported dead at the scene following the wreck. The driver of the BMW sustained significant injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital by the Paramedics. The Ford motorist was treated for minor wounds at the site.
The identities of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released to this time.
The wreck resulted in the closure of the northbound lanes of Folsom-Auburn Road for some time while the authorities conducted their investigation.
The leading cause of the collision remains under investigation.
