Union City, California (June 8, 2019) – Minor injuries were sustained after a motorcycle crash Friday evening in the area of Union City, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at around 6:15 p.m. Friday, June 7, on northbound 880 Freeway at Alvarado Niles Road off-ramp.

As per the CHP officials, a motorcycle and a vehicle crashed for reasons still under investigation.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the crash victims. The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately known.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

The motorcyclist was standing in the median after the crash.

The vehicles were moved to the right-hand shoulder of the roadway following the crash.
