Whittier, California (June 6, 2019) — A motorcyclist was injured Thursday morning in a traffic crash in Whittier, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck, which was reported at about 6:56 a.m., happened on the 60 Freeway, just west of the Interstate 605 Freeway.

According to the CHP, a black motorcycle collided with a tan Toyota Corolla for an unknown reason on the 60 Freeway. Both vehicles were found in the center divider and the bike was removed from the crash site by a flatbed tow truck.

Firefighters along with paramedics responded and rendered aid to the rider who sustained injuries as a result of the crash. Authorities did not mention if the victim was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
