27-Year-Old Ethan Hollander Killed in El Cajon Motorcycle Crash on Old Highway 80

El Cajon, California (June 5, 2019) –27-Year-Old Ethan Hollander has been identified as the victim killed in a motorcycle accident in El Cajon Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
The fatal accident was reported at approximately 5:27 p.m. June 4 on Old Highway 80.
The California Highway Patrol report indicated that the accident happened when Honda Accent crashed with a motorcycle driven by Hollander eastbound in the highway. The initial report showed that the Honda had been parked before suddenly pulled over out in an attempt to perform a U-turn and turned into the path of Hollander triggering the collision. Hollander was reported to have struck the driver’s side door.
Hollander sustained severe- life-threatening injuries as a result of the wreck. The victim was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later.
The driver of the Honda stopped after the crash and cooperated with the authorities’ investigation.
The crash remains under an active investigation by the CHP.
