Gregory Wright Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident at Mack Road and Center Parkway
Sacramento, California (May 31, 2019) – 63-year-old Gregory Wright has been identified as a Pedestrian in Wheelchair who was struck and killed by a car in Sacramento early Friday morning.
The pedestrian collision was reported at about 3:30 a.m. May 31 at Mack Road and Center Parkway in South Sacramento.
The accident happened when a vehicle traveling westbound on Mack Road struck Wright while he was crossing the road at the intersection.
Wright was eventually pronounced dead at the scene following the wreck.
The initial report indicated that the driver of the involved car pulled over and contacted the police immediately after the crash.
The roadway was closed down up to around 8:30 a.m. as the police conducted the investigation.
The authorities affirmed that speed, drugs, or alcohol were not a factor during the occurrence of the accident.
Meanwhile, the authorities are still investigating to identify why the accident occurred.
