Linda Shier ID’d as Woman Killed in Dixon Car Crash on Highway 113 and Casey Road
Dixon, California (June 1, 2019) – The woman who was killed in a traffic collision that took place on Thursday evening in Dixon has been identified as Linda Shier, 63, of Vacaville, according to the Solano County Coroner’s Office.
The wreck happened just after 6 p.m. May 30, on Highway 113 south of Casey Road.
CHP said Juan Diaz, 24, of Fairfield, was driving a Hyundai Sonata northbound on Highway 113 when he tried to make a left turn and collided head-on with an oncoming Dodge Caravan driven by Glenda Dew of Vacaville.

Shier was a passenger in the Caravan and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Dew was taken to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
Diaz also had major injuries and was airlifted to Kaiser.
CHP said alcohol was unlikely a factor in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
