Pedestrian Injured, Driver Arrested after Hollywood DUI Crash on Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue
Hollywood, California (May 27, 2019) – A pedestrian was injured in a collision caused by a suspected DUI driver that also sheared a hydrant in Hollywood on Sunday night, according to the LAPD.
The incident occurred at about 10:29 p.m. May 26, near Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue.
The LAPD said the driver was traveling down Hollywood Boulevard when the vehicle jumped the curb, struck a pole, a hydrant and a pedestrian walking along the side.

The pedestrian was treated by the responding paramedics before being taken to a hospital for further treatment. No details were available on the condition of the pedestrian.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Hollywood Boulevard was temporarily blocked as officials worked to clear the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
