Merced, California (May 26, 2019) – A 54-year-old woman was killed in an accident involving a big rig on Saturday afternoon in Merced, as per a local news source.
The crash took place at around 12:30 p.m. May 25, on Highway 140 and Hayden Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a passenger car and a big rig. The 54-year-old woman was traveling from behind the big rig and failed to stop. The woman swerved to avoid collision with other vehicles but crashed into the turning truck.
The woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
