3 Injured in Log Ride Accident at California Amusement Park
Man, Woman and 10-Year-Old Boy Injured in Riverside Log Ride Crash at Castle Park
Riverside, California (May 26, 2019) – Three family members were hospitalized Saturday after they were thrown from the log ride at a Southern California amusement park in Riverside, authorities said.
The accident happened at Castle Park on Saturday, May 25.
According to the authorities, a pump malfunctioned preventing the flow of water onto the track. As the log descended from one of the falls, there wasn’t enough water to slow it down and the log-shaped vessels flipped over.
The riders were ejected from the log ride. A woman was taken to a hospital where she was listed in critical condition. A man and 10-year-old sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
