San Luis Obispo County, California (May 23, 2019) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a traffic accident in San Luis Obispo County, according to a local news source.

The wreck happened on Highway 1, just north of Ragged Point Wednesday, May 22.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound when for an as of yet to be determined reason, he veered across the center median and sideswiped an oncoming vehicle.

The man was ejected from the bike upon the impact.

The man was transported by ambulance to the Ragged Point Inn where he was then flown to the trauma center at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo. His name and current condition remained unknown.

The crash remains under investigation.
