David Reidford ID’d as Man Injured in Idyllwild Crash on Highway 243 near Saunders Meadow Road

Idyllwild, California (May 16, 2019) – The man who was injured Friday afternoon in a two-car accident in Idyllwild has been identified as David Reidford, 74, of Palm Springs, according to authorities.
The wreck took place at about 12:35 p.m. Friday, May 10 on Highway 243 near Saunders Meadow Road.
Authorities said Reidford was driving a white 2014 Nissan Rogue southbound on Highway 243 when he turned left onto lower Saunders Meadow Road directly into the northbound path of a blue 2004 Jeep Wrangler driven by Luis Felix, 47, of Idyllwild.

Reidford, who complained of pain, was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. Felix was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
