Stanislaus County, CA: Fatal Rear-End Crash on I-5 near Westley Rest Area
50-Year-Old Studio City Man Killed in Stanislaus County Crash on Interstate 5

Stanislaus County, California (May 8, 2019) – A man was killed in a deadly rear-end collision early Wednesday morning near the Westley Rest Area in Stanislaus County.
According to the CHP, the incident happened shortly after 12 a.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 5 near Tracy.
The CHP said a 2018 Nissan crashed into the rear of a 2018 Volvo tractor-trailer at a high rate of speed.
Man Dies in Stanislaus County Crash
The Nissan driver was still inside the car when the emergency crews responded to the scene.
The driver, a 50-year-old Studio City man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second driver and his passenger were not injured.
The CHP is working to determine the cause of the crash.
