At Least 1 Injured in Aptos Crash on Highway 1 (Cabrillo Highway) near Rio Del Mar
Aptos, California (May 8, 2019) – At least one person was injured Tuesday afternoon in a traffic accident in Aptos, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The crash, which was reported at around 3:47 p.m. Tuesday, April 7 on Highway 1, just south of Rio Del Mar Boulevard. Highway 1 also known as Cabrillo Highway.
As per the CHP report, three vehicles collided for an undetermined reason on the southbound lanes of Highway 1. The vehicles involved were described as a white Chevrolet Silverado, a black Mercedes and possibly a red colored truck.
Minor Injury Multi-Car Crash on Cabrillo Highway in Aptos Tuesday
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to at least one person who was left with minor injuries in the crash. It was immediately unclear if the victim was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
The name and current condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
Meanwhile, two vehicles, including the Mercedes, which had major front-end damage, were towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
